Discover Nature's Beating Heart

Guyana is a kind of place that's becoming increasingly rare in the world today; come and you'll find untouched nature with amazing wildlife and birding experiences, rich culture and heritage, warm hospitality and a relaxing, Caribbean vibe. 90% of the population live along the coast, leaving the country's lush interior untouched, and ripe for exploration.

What is Restaurant Week?

An increasing number of people, from foodies to the general public, are enthusiastic about GRW. For ten days a year, partner restaurants offer special menus paired with wines perfect for pulling in new customers while keeping regulars coming back for much more.To date, restaurants participating in GRW have boasted huge turnouts. Each year we see new faces and a wider variety of food choices since restaurants compete to have the most talked-about menu for the season.Menu prices can be as low as $3,000 for lunch or $6,000-$7,500 for dinner, including all taxes.

How can I experience it?
It’s simple, just eat! Look at the list of participating restaurants. Pick one and check out their menu. If it piques your interest, call them and make reservations.

When you arrive, ask your server for their Guyana Restaurant Week menu. Be sure to ask about the wine pairings they are offering with their delicious selections. Visit one or visit all!

Guyanese people love a good celebration. The best of parades, parties and processions bring the city alive. Timing your trip to coincide with a festival or a major national event is the best way to experience ethnic diversity at play.

Testimonials & Awards

"A country largely overlooked by non-cricketing Brits...Intriguingly, the most “exotic” country in South America is the one where they speak English....Expertly managed lodges such as Iwokrama, Atta and Rewa in the rainforest, and Karanambu and Caiman House in the savannah, allow soft adventures..."
